A lot of police officers tend to only think of police gear as being their gun, duty belt, and handcuffs. They are forgetting or just don't know about one of the most important pieces of police gear, and that is the ResQ-Pak personal aid kit.

Police Equipment Reviews was recently contacted by BlueLine Tactical regarding one of their products, the ResQ-Pak personal aid kit. The ResQ-Pak is a portable first aid kit that you can carry with you at all times in case of emergencies. Police Equipment Reviews was already familiar with products that are contained in the ResQ-Pak so we were interested in the ResQ-Pak and what it had to offer.

For those of you that aren't familiar with the ResQ-Pak, the ResQ-Pak is designed to provide anybody with an emergency first aid kit for gunshot wounds, stab wounds, and other traumas. The ResQ-Pak is designed to stop the bleeding until you can get further medical treatment. Since the ResQ-Pak is very small, it can easily fit in a pocket, briefcase, or purse.

ResQ-Pak's use Quik-Clot and Celox in their ResQ-Paks. Quik-Clot is self-contained in a gauze or sponge that can be placed in a wound. Celox is a powder that can be poured into a wound. Both of the products act quickly to form a clot and stop the bleeding. One of the best features of Quik-Clot and Celox is that anybody can use these products.

There are four versions of the ResQ-Pak; level 1, level 2, level 3, and level C. Police Equipment Reviews is going to give you a brief overview of each ResQ-Pak level.

The ResQ-Pak level 1 is designed detectives, patrol officers, correctional officers, and security personnel. The level 1 kit contains 25 grams of Quik-Clot, one 5" x 9" ABD pad, one 4" x 75" roll bandage, one 40" x 40" x 56" triangular bandage, two sets of 4" x 3" cover sponges, surgical tape, and one pair of non-latex gloves.

The ResQ-Pak level 2 is designed for patrol officers, high risk warrant service team members, tactical team members, and correctional officers. The level 2 kit contains two Quik–Clot emergency dressing hemostatic gauze sponges measuring 4" x 4", one SWAT-T tourniquet, one 5" x 9" ABD pad, one 4" x 4.1" yards of compressed gauze, combat medic tape, and a pair of non-latex gloves.

The ResQ-Pak level 3 is designed for Tactical team members and Military personnel. The level 3 kit contains Quik–Clot Combat Gauze (3" x 4 yards), SWAT-T tourniquet, Bolin Chest Seal, thin cinch compression bandage, nasopharyngeal airway with lubricant, one 5" x 9" ABD pad , two sets 4" x 3" cover sponges, combat medic tape, trauma shears, and a pair of non-latex gloves. In addition the level 3 kit now contains a Bolin chest seal.

The ResQ-Pak level C is designed for Homeland Security, FBI, Secret Service, ATF, and ICE. The level C kit contains two 15g Celox pouches, SWAT-T tourniquet, one 5" x 9" ABD pad, two sets 4" x 3" cover sponges, one 4" x 75" roll bandage, combat medic tape, and one pair of non-latex gloves.

No matter what type of law enforcement you work in, you should be carrying a ResQ-Pak with you at all times. You never know when you might encounter a trauma injury. Don't risk with your life or your partner's life, carry a ResQ-Pak!
