One of the most popular police jackets is the Blauer Cruiser jacket. The Blauer Cruiser jacket is offered in two different styles, Gore Tex or B Dry. Both jackets are made with the same high standards as the uniforms manufactured by Blauer.

The Blauer B Dry Cruiser jacket has a rugged ripstop taslan nylon shell that is very breathable. The B Dry system keeps the jacket waterproof and windproof. With a removable inner fleece liner, this jacket is sure to keep you warm. The design of the jacket features two double entry lower pockets with flaps, adjustable cuffs, and vertical zipper welt pockets. The jacket is 26" long. Let’s take a look at the features of the B Dry cruiser as listed on the Blauer website:

The Blauer Gore-Tex Cruiser jacket has all of the same features that the B Dry jacket has, except this jacket is lined with Gore Tex for added waterproofing. The Gore Tex Cruiser jacket is 25" long. The following are the features listed on the Blauer website for the Gore-Tex Cruiser jacket:

• Gore-Tex lining makes the jacket blood, body fluid, & chemical resistant
• Scotchlight (reflective material) under the cuffs and collar

• Hook and loop fasteners back the cuff length adjustable
• Drop shoulder design offers unrestricted movement
• Double front flap extends to the top of the sport collar
• Lower pockets have double entry with flaps
• Large security pocket on the inside

• Badge tab, military style shoulder ornamentation with uniform buttons

Both of these jackets have received high remarks from my fellow officers. Since we live in a relatively dry area, the B Dry jacket is the more popular of the two due to it being slightly lighter and less expensive. All of the officers like the deep dual pockets on the front and the removable inner lining. There has not been one bad thing said about the Blauer Cruiser Jackets.

In addition to these two very popular Blauer Cruiser jackets, Blauer also offers a Gore-Tex Ike-Length jacket that has all the same features as the regular Gore-Tex Cruiser but is a little shorter at 24" and also features a large back hem pocket with Velcro closures and slash pockets instead of the double flap front pockets.
