Taser International products are one of most popular pieces of police equipment these days. The two most common products that Taser International manufactures for law enforcement are the Taser X26 and the Advanced Taser M26. Taser International is also getting ready to release the Taser AXON and the Tason Shockwave.

The Taser X26 is the premier law enforcement taser.  The Taser X26 uses a replaceable Taser cartridge containing a compressed nitrogen propulsion system to deploy two small probes that are attached to the Taser X26 by insulated wires.  The Taser X26 can be used up 35 feet away from a subject. The Taser X26 is 60% smaller than the Advanced Taser M26 allowing the Taser X26 to be on your police duty belt everyday. Another feature of the Taser X26 is that the device is equipped with software that can be downloaded after the Taser is deployed. With an integrated laser sight and low intensity lights built into the Taser X26, hitting your target will be no problem.

The Advanced Taser M26 was developed in 1999 and became the first system short of lethal force that could truly stop aggressive, focused combatants. Field proven with over nine years in the field, the Advanced Taser M26 continues to be a work-horse for many law enforcement agencies. The Advanced Taser M26 is compatible with the same Taser cartridges used in the Taser X26, so agencies can smoothly transition between, or support, both systems. With a range of up to 35 feet, the Advanced Taser M26 gives you the battle-tested, field-proven capability to incapacitate dangerous subjects with minimum risk of serious injury.

Taser International is always taking their products one step further. Relatively soon Taser International will be releasing the Taser Shockwave. The Taser Shockwave is a portable device that contains up to 12 Taser units that can be activated by a person standing up to 100 feet away from the Taser Shockwave. The Taser Shockwave is great for personal security or institutions.

The Taser AXON (Autonomous eXtended On-Officer Network) is a tactical net workable computer that combines advanced audio-video record/capture capabilities with tactical communications, and is designed to be worn by first responders such as law enforcement, corrections officers, and fire fighters. The state of the art audio-video earpiece with imager, speaker and microphone integrates into the communications loop between existing radios and the communications headset, recording video of critical incidents from the visual perspective of the officer. The Taser AXON will be available in the near future and will prove to be a valuable piece of police equipment just like all the other Taser International products.
