Bates Enforcer #2280 tactical boot

I have decided to a review on what I feel is one of the best police boots that a police officer can wear. Those police boots are the Bates Enforcer series. Over 1.5 million pairs of Bates boots are purchased every year which confirms my feelings that these are some of the best police boots manufactured.

The Bates Enforcer #2280 tactical boots are eight inches high and provide great support for police officers in any type of situation. The Bates Enforcer boots are water resistant and have a slip resistant Ultra-Lite rubber outsole to keep the officer safe in wet weather or any situation where there is oil, water, or other substance that may be wet or slippery. These Bates boots have a breathable mesh lining and full cushioned foot bed for the extra comfort. Having boots that are comfortable and supportive is critical for those officers that are on their feet for many hours everyday. These Bates boots are manufactured out of non-metallic components for travel in security environments, going through a metal detector with these boots on will not cause any delay.

Bates understands the need for comfort and has designed their boots to not need a "breaking in" period. Finding the right size Bates boot will allow you to comfortably wear your Bates boots straight out of the box. Bates provides a number of tips in finding the right size for your Bates boots. First, tap your foot back to the back of the boot and then tighten the laces. The correct size Bates boot will feel snug across the ball of the foot, around the instep, and in the heel. The arch of your foot should be supported and there should be enough room in the toes for you to wiggle and curl them. When stepping down on your foot your toes should lightly touch the front of your Bates boots but should not jam into the end of the boot.

Bates boots are offered in a large variety of widths to provide maximum comfort and the best fit to the most individuals. Not all feet are the same size and the Bates footwear company does not believe that anyone should have to settle for an uncomfortable foot. The width variations for Bates boots include a B width, these are a narrow width boot. C width, these boots will be one width wider than that B width. D width is considered normal or average width. E width is considered a wide width boot but is the narrowest option in the wide width boots. EEE is the widest width offered in Bates boots. You may also see width ratings that say M, which is equal to D or medium width, W that is equal to E or wide width, and EW which is equal to EEE or an extra wide width.

The Bates team recommends that if possible to have your foot measured with a Brannock device by a shoe care professional. Having your exact shoe size determined by a professional will allow you to choose the right Bates boots in the right size. Most of the Bates boots, including the Bates Enforcer come in a large range of sizes, typically from about a size 2 to a size 15.

I have been wearing the Bates Enforcer tactical boots #2280 for the last 4 years. During that time, I have owned two pairs of these boots. I have owned other brands of boots, but found these boots to be the best I have worn so far. The boots are very durable and the soles have lasted on average for 2 years. On a few occasions I have found myself standing in 6 inches of water. On those few occasions, the Bates Enforcer #2280 kept my feet dry and held up to their description. Another thing that I liked about the Bates Enforcer boot was that even though they have a mesh material on the sides of the boots, the top of the boot is a soft toe style which was very easy to polish and obtain a professional looking boot.

The first pair of these boots I purchased for about $110.00. The second pair I found on the internet for about $75.00. At $75.00 this is a great bargain. I honestly can't find anything wrong with these boots and highly recommend the Bates Enforcer #2280 tactical boots.
